Description:

Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for one of our clients in the Concord area.
Tired of working rotating shifts? Looking for work in the GTA. This could be your calling as we seek our next All-Star candidate.
A newly created position to lead and develop an established Maintenance Team.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of hourly staff, equipment maintenance, downtime resolution and maintenance team activities,

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a strong interest in Industrial Automation

  • Have a strong mechanical and electrical background - must have 433a or 442a designation

  • 2-7 years of working experience in controls/electrical field

  • Knowledge of Equipment Repairs and Maintenance tasks
  • Supervision and Team Management skills
  • Basic knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Basic knowledge of proper work ergonomics and Safety requirements for industrial applications
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Demonstrate creative thinking

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate, develop and provide direct leadership to maintenance staff by reinforcing

and encouraging a high-performance culture and safe working environment.

  • Communicate and coordinate maintenance activities within the team and with all relevant

stakeholders.

  • Ensure there is efficient utilization of resources by managing maintenance staff capacity and

floor coverage.

  • Accountable for timely execution of all scheduled work and provides guidance to team members

on prioritization of work including emergency/breakdown work. Be hands-on.

  • Supervise and periodically audit maintenance work completed by team members and/or

Contractors ensure work is completed following all company policies and procedures including

GMP, Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
