Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of maintenance employees in the repair and preventive maintenance of all mobile and fixed equipment. Ensuring that all maintenance is performed in a safe and technically correct manner. Maintaining a mixed fleet of equipment capable to serve the customers changing needs Provide leadership and direction to the internal maintenance team, external vendors and suppliers to ensures that work is completed efficiently and inline with the Mills schedules. Providing technical guidance for both corrective and preventative maintenance activities. Ensure the correct tools and resources are available for the Maiantence team. Management of short and long term maintenance planning, and completion of planned activities efficiently within budget. Significant technical input and creation of scope of work for major repairs. Assisting maintenance workers and sub-contractors in performing diagnosis and troubleshooting. Provide guidance and training to members of the maintenance crew The ideal candidate will be: A strong organized communicator, willing to work a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays in a fast paced environment. Participate in safety, quality and environmental programs by conducting observations, audits and meetings. Carry out duties with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Qualifications 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience of Heavy Mobile Equipment, Static Processing Plant, Locomotive and/or Gantry Cranes and/or 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer oriented service support environment and/or 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a Steel Mill, quarry, mining, rolling stock, major construction or material processing environment and/or Sound mechanical knowledge of the following types of equipment Medium and Large Wheel Loaders, Scraper Tractors, Diesel Locomotive, Gantry Crane, Material Processing plants would be beneficial Additional Information We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, life insurance and disability plans, as well as a 401k with company matching.
