QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (Ontario Ministry of the Environment).
  • Proficient with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Certification in a skilled trade (e.g., Millwright, Electrician) or equivalent technical background preferred.
  • Health & Safety certification (e.g., WHMIS, Joint Health & Safety Committee) is an asset.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at our Trenton facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a hands-on maintenance background and a solid understanding of environmental compliance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, and improvement efforts on all plant equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, inventory, and parts requisitioning using CMMS systems.
  • Ensure that all environmental regulations and safety protocols are adhered to, including proper handling of waste, reporting requirements, and compliance inspections.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate repairs, upgrades, or installations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
