Description:

GFL Environmental is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our facility in Delta, BC!
The ideal candidate will safely monitor and supervise all site operations and employees while ensuring all equipment is in proper working order. Provide leadership, which results in positive employee/employer relations. Project a professional corporate image, effective resource management, a sound risk management program, high production standards and business expansion and profitable operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HVAC or Mechanical Certification is an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and conveyor systems.
  • One or more years of experience in a lead technician or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely oversee and manage all on-site operations and personnel, ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, fostering positive employee-employer relations.
  • Efficiently plan and schedule daily repair work to maximize productivity.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate employees’ performance and behavior.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings.
  • Inspect external repairs to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Plan and schedule repairs in the M5 planner and procure necessary parts.
  • Assess the quality and effectiveness of completed work.
  • Supervise diagnostics for complex repair issues.
  • Assist in controlling inventory to maintain equipment and part levels within budget.
  • Possess knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for advanced preventive and repair maintenance.
  • Update and submit required inspection reports promptly.
