SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of Gregory Packaging plants. This position involves creating and implementing maintenance strategies, managing maintenance software, optimizing preventative maintenance, overseeing spare part inventory, and providing technical training to plant technicians. The goal is to maximize machine reliability and longevity while ensuring efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management software setup and functionality.
  • Ability to develop preventative maintenance practices for automated filling machines and processing equipment, with experience in maintaining automated guided vehicles as a plus.
  • Experience in diagnosing equipment downtime root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of part storage processes and vendor account management for cost-effective part replenishments.
  • Understanding of the business needs and Maintenance’s role.
  • Availability to work off-shift and during plant emergencies.
    This Maintenance Supervisor role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of Gregory Packaging plants and optimizing maintenance strategies for long-term efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Oversee and manage the facility’s maintenance program, analyzing equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide technical training to management and team members.
  • Coordinate and manage work performed by external contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
  • Develop and execute work schedules for plant maintenance teams.
  • Monitor and improve Production Machine Mechanical Efficiency (MME).
  • Support maintenance, electric, automation, and hydraulic work teams.
  • Maintain organized part storage processes and manage vendor accounts for cost-effective part replenishments.
  • Audit and enhance the technical knowledge and abilities of the plant for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor programming on Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Possess general mechanical shop skills, including the use of lathes, end mills, drill presses, hydraulic presses, tap and die, and gear pullers.
  • Manage both electrical and mechanical projects and upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with all plant personnel.
  • Assist the quality department in maintaining an “audit-ready” plant condition.
  • Adapt work schedules based on priorities and respond quickly to changes.
