Healthy Pet currently has an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor provides hands on leadership to the facility maintenance team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Balances and works to continuously improve quality, productivity, efficiency cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Assigns work to staff to keep machinery in running order. Schedules and assigns preventive maintenance. Coordinates equipment maintenance support for off hours. Communicates with management, supervisors, production staff and operators regarding scheduling of maintenance and down times. Purchases equipment and supplies within set policies and procedures. Enters and retrieves machine maintenance and preventative maintenance into and from maintenance programs. Prepares and distributes regular reports on maintenance cost and programs. Manages to and participates in the development the development and tracking of maintenance budgets. Participates in the selection of new employees. Plans, assigns, trains, supervises and evaluates work of staff. Ensures compliance of Company policies and procedures. Conducts performance evaluations to guide the development of employees and provide a record of performance. Ensures effective employee relations. Initiates and documents disciplinary actions as approved by Human Resources. Drives lean concepts in the in the maintenance function and broader workplace. Ensures and documents completion of job and safety training required for assigned staff. Monitors and maintains a clean and safe work environment. Facilitates or assists in facilitation of emergency situations at assigned facility. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Four years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Valid driver’s license upon hire and maintain throughout employment. Knowledgeable in procedures and practices of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair including hydraulic and pneumatic. Familiar with computerized machinery operations. Experienced with Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred). Able to promote staff and team development and high performance by assuring regular, effective and consistent feedback. Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics and work orders.
