Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join a growing leader in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space for a contract, onsite position located in Bloomington, IN. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team supporting the reliable operation, maintenance, and compliance of automated parenteral filling equipment in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role follows a rotating shift schedule, with openings available for weekday nights (Monday–Thursday, 10:00pm–8:30am) and weekend coverage (Friday–Sunday, either 6:00am–6:30pm or 6:00pm–6:30am).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR INCLUDE:

  • Strong background in pharmaceutical or biotech maintenance, with hands-on experience in sterile manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage maintenance teams, including shift scheduling and performance oversight.
  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics and following SOPs in a regulated environment.
  • Solid understanding of FDA regulations, GMP standards, and aseptic processing protocols.
  • Flexibility to work night and weekend shifts as part of a rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of maintenance technicians across assigned shifts, ensuring timely and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on parenteral filling line equipment, including vial washers, depyrogenation tunnels, filling stations, and cappers.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to maintain continuous production.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of maintenance activities in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve equipment reliability and implement process improvements.
