Description
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance activities within the rare earth magnet manufacturing plant, ensuring reliable equipment performance, adherence to safety standards, and effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The supervisor manages Maintenance Technicians I–III and works closely with engineering, production, and safety teams. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders to the maintenance team. Supervise and develop Maintenance Technicians across all levels. Ensure safe execution of maintenance tasks, including work around high-temperature furnaces, sintering equipment, heavy presses, CNC machinery, and magnet-handling areas. Oversee the preventive maintenance program and ensure timely completion. Review equipment downtime trends and coordinate long-term corrective actions. Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships. Support capital equipment installations, modifications, and commissioning. Maintain compliance with OSHA and plant safety policies. Conduct performance evaluations and training plans for maintenance personnel. Collaborate with engineering and production to improve equipment reliability and uptime. Knowledge, Skills & ​​Abilities: Leadership & coaching Scheduling & planning Communication Safety management Data-driven decision making Conflict resolution and team development Minimum Requirements: 5–8+ years industrial maintenance experience, including 1–3 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with rare earth magnet processes a plus. Ability to interpret complex technical documentation. Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
