Pay Range: $34.00- $38.00 SUMMARY The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for guiding and coordinating the daily operations of the commissary maintenance team. This role focuses on ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and equipment reliability. The Team Leader is a hands-on leader who supports the training, development, and performance of maintenance staff while driving continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and inspire the daily operations of the maintenance team by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring that all maintenance logs and documentation meet food safety and equipment safety requirements. Uphold a safe working environment in compliance with USDA regulations and corporate safety standards. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and develop effective repair strategies. Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment. Adhere to checklists for inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and filters. Organize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production downtime. Assist in managing maintenance budgets and provide accurate cost estimates. Follow all safety policies, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools. Communicate effectively to maintain building safety and GMP compliance. Lead hiring, training, and development of Team Members. Collaborate with Team Member Services on personnel matters. Maintain knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, and FSMA standards. Foster a positive work environment with strong teamwork and respect. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment, with 12+ months in a supervisory role. Certifications like CMRP or CPMM preferred. OSHA safety certification or other relevant training.
