How You’ll Perform the Role

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisor or team lead role.
  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical or electrical maintenance
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments such as plastics, food processing, packaging, or similar continuous operations
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for work order and asset management
  • Red Seal or equivalent Millwright/Electrician certification.
  • Safety certifications (LOTO, WHMIS, confined space, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and motivate teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting, including standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working at heights.
  • Willingness to work weekends (if needed sometimes) and respond to emergency call-ins as needed.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments with proper PPE.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians (electrical and millwrights) across multiple shifts to ensure timely execution of work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize daily maintenance tasks in alignment with production schedules and business objectives.
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and technical guidance to maintenance personnel, fostering skill development and multi-craft capability.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings, communicate performance expectations, and ensure team alignment with safety and quality requirements.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for production equipment such as, thermoforms, conveyors, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities in compliance with the CMMS ( MaintainX,) to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial equipment, motors, sensors, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and the planner, to schedule maintenance without impacting production targets.
  • Support planning of major equipment overhauls, shutdowns, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Promote a zero-injury culture by ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and machine guarding standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
