Sussex Realty is recruiting a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Team Member at a high-rise apartment complex in St. Vital. We’re looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy maintenance team member to work alongside our Resident Manager and Maintenance team to provide quality service to the building and residents. The ideal candidate must have extensive maintenance experience, understanding of workplace health & safety practices, and knowledge of preventative maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Maintenance experience (plumbing, painting, carpentry, general maintenance)
• Basic understanding of electrical maintenance
• Experience with pool maintenance
• Property management/resident manager experience an asset
• Clear criminal record check required
• Must be legally able to work in Canada

• Coordinating/scheduling maintenance with residents
• Completing repairs in occupied and vacant suites as well as common area maintenance
• Pool maintenance (seasonal)
• Assisting with taking out the garbage & recycling, cleaning the bins, and returning after pickup on a bi-weekly basis
• Inspecting occupied and vacant units for maintenance and testing life safety equipment
• Lawn care & snow removal
• Alternating after-hours emergency calls with other on-site staff
• Holiday coverage, as required
• Assisting the Resident Manager and maintenance team, as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management
