Description Position: Maintenance Technician 2 Division: Recycling Status: Full Time/Hourly Position POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician 2 will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A Essential Responsibilities: Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems Preventive maintenance/repair mobile equipment, furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment Complete work orders & PM paperwork Welding and fabrication Follow all safety, health, and environmental processes Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 4 years of Maintenance Tech experience (internally) or 5 years previous documented industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities Forklift experience is preferred but not required Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities COMPETENCIES: Advanced mechanical aptitude Proficient in MIG and TIG, stick welding, torching plasma, and fabrication Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs. Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities. CORE VALUES:?
