Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. * Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. * Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, tests and adjust equipment as needed. * Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. * Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. * Troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley products and program A & B PLC., and program IDEC touch screens. * Installation and repairs of all electrical components and associated wiring including low voltage systems installation and maintenance. * Maintain complicated electrical and electronic systems and equipment used in various processes including but not limited to: electrical AC/DC, electrical/air control, air and plumbing, water/honey pumps. * Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. * Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. * Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. * Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. * Perform tig welding on thin wall stainless steel tubing. * Be available for Emergency call-back. * Be willing to learn additional skills as necessary to oversee the maintenance of the production facility. * Perform all other duties needed or assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Assistant Plant Manager. Minimum Qualifications: * Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read, write legibly, and speak English. * Must have a good work ethic. * History of excellent attendance record. * Computer skills required. * Must be self-motivated. * Must be able to communicate and work well with others. Physical Requirements: * Must be available to work as needed including overtime and Saturdays. * Close vision abilities, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. * Ability to lift up to 50 LBS. Description of the Work Environment: This position is part of the Sioux City plant and most of the work will take place within the plant portion of the facility. This position will come in contact with many other employees within the facility and it is the expectation of the organization that we always maintain an attitude of dignity and respect when interacting with each other. 2nd Shift 3pm - 11:30pm

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment, diagnose problems, and perform preventive maintenance. The role also includes troubleshooting and repairing various electrical and mechanical systems within the facility.
