Description Industrial Maintenance Technician – Entry Level Location: Topeka, KS Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, On Call as needed Department: Maintenance Description We want you on our team! American Phoenix Pre-weighed Chemical Packaging division operates from five strategic locations: Topeka Kansas, Lawton Oklahoma, Fayetteville North Carolina and Danville Virginia. Initiated in 2004, American Phoenix designed, built and maintains it proprietary chemical weighing and packaging equipment. Pre-weigh services are utilized by large manufacturing companies requiring precisely weighed chemicals for use in rubber mixing. We provide both product reliability and economic value to a critical component of rubber mixing that makes your process more efficient. This is an entry-level opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual looking to grow into an Industrial Maintenance career. You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing hands-on skills in electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and routine maintenance on production equipment and facility systems Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairs of machinery Support facility and building maintenance activities Help maintain spare parts and maintenance supply inventory Communicate equipment issues with plant personnel and maintenance leadership Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment Operate basic metalworking tools and equipment for fabrication and repair Follow all OSHA, safety, and Hazard Communication (HazCom) requirements Assist with safety equipment inspections and documentation Work with contractors under supervision as needed Perform other duties as assigned Nature & Scope This position involves working in an industrial environment with exposure to chemicals, machinery, and moving equipment. Employees must follow company safety policies, wear required PPE, and participate in safety training programs. Communication and teamwork are essential to maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
