Description Position Summary: The Part-Time Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, and meet Hyatt standards. This role supports the overall guest experience by maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe environment. 3pm - 11pm Shift , 2 - 3 nights Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and general repairs on hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Assist in setup and maintenance of hotel equipment, furniture, and fixtures. Follow all safety procedures and hotel policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report unresolved issues to the Chief Engineer or Supervisor. Support special projects, renovations, or emergency repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and superior guest experiences. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school training preferred. Previous maintenance or engineering experience in hospitality or related fields preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Requirements Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or kneel for extended periods. Work Schedule: Part-time position, flexible schedule based on hotel needs.
