Summit County, located in Utah, is currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Tech I. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties as needed to maintain a clean, attractive, and operational county facility. Works under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain and repair locks, other security equipment and generators. * Performs a variety of repair tasks involving electrical outlets and devices, plumbing, cement and paint work as required; cleans maintains and stores equipment. * Have knowledge of access control system. * Sweeps and mops floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets; waxes floors and operates buffing machine. * Washes windows and polishes furniture; dusts woodwork, furniture, and other articles; cleans drinking fountains. Gathers and disposes of refuse; cleans office waste receptacles; maintains and orders supplies and equipment. * Sweeps and maintains outside walks and steps; cleans and sanitizes restroom sinks and bowls; supplies restrooms as needed; replaces burned out bulbs; secures building by insuring doors and windows are properly locked. * General repair of trucks, mowers, snow blowers etc. * Performs general landscape maintenance and environs beautification; mows and edges grass; plants and maintains flower beds year round; maintains trees and shrubs; applies fertilizer and weed control; maintains sprinkling system and bubblers in proper working condition; performs winter snow removal. * Work with vendors, professional and technical, schedule any needed repairs. * Operate heavy equipment as needed. * Must be willing to be on-call, work holidays, weekends, etc. * Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Maintains county facilities through semi-skilled and skilled duties including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs. Responsible for custodial tasks, landscaping, and the general upkeep of building interiors and exteriors.
