Position Summary: IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 176-unit apartment community in Union City, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency. General Responsibilities: * Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ. * Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc. * Sweep the dumpster areas. * Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned. * Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. * Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. * Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect. * Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
