Description
Optimizes processing reduces downtime by performing predictive and preventive maintenance on all equipment, machinery and facility buildings; participating in the installation of the new equipment as required. Contributes to production efficiency by responding to maintenance calls on a 24 hour 7 days per week basis; investigates reason for call in; and either repairs or defers action for immediate supervisor or manager decision. Maintains building climate by installing, repairing and servicing ventilation, heat and air conditioning systems. Maintains facility lighting by installing and repairing wiring and fixture. Monitors production efficiency by maintaining and analyzing a production downtime record. Ensure employee safety by adhering to all Lockout Tagout procedures; following the MSDS safety procedures when using chemicals. Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure and clean workplace by conducting daily, weekly, quarterly and semi-annual safety/maintenance inspections according to pre-established guidelines and schedules; completes related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Contributes to accuracy of processing and product accountability by maintaining maintenance documentation and implements appropriate corrective action as needed. Contributes to safe product processing by responding to any alarm conditions in an appropriate manner; reports events and activities outside normal parameters to Supervisor or Manager. Maintains and advances mechanical and technical skills, knowledge and abilities by assigned training. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by monitoring environmental control systems and inspecting equipment for unsafe conditions and reporting to supervision as required; generates maintenance work orders for repairs; responds to process and equipment alarm conditions and acting within operational and safety guidelines; conducts assigned housekeeping on a daily basis.
