Description SUMMARY: CNC machine maintenance for vertical, horizontal, lathe and other complex equipment. Technician works at a high expected level of performance and readiness for production equipment, balancing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and the installation of new equipment. This position includes facility support for equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs preventative and predictive maintenance Calibrates and adjusts pallet changers, linear and rotary axes Checks for flatness, alignment, and offset of table, machine, and tooling Proficient in troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems down to component level Performs very complex maintenance and repairs Balance and prioritize workload while staging necessary tools and equipment Research parts down to appropriate vendor Maintain accurate on time records for CMMS Follow company safety standards Work in team focused environment assisting others in completion of tasks Safety and OSHA compliance Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers Performs other related duties assigned Requirements REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED 10+ years of maintenance experience with CNC equipment or other complex machinery Experience with Fanuc and Haas controls Experience using hand tools and test equipment Takes ownership of production equipment Ability to read and understand schematics, P&ID, technical diagrams/documentation Able to operate forklift, scissor lift, hoist or other support equipment as needed. Customer service orientated Needs thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Advanced understanding of machine maintenance procedures and techniques Must be well-organized and have ability to prioritize tasks Excellent problem-solving skills DESIRED: Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business Someone who is personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goals A strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team A problem solver with a solution focused mindset PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS: Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 25% is spent seated at a desk, working on the telephone or at a computer terminal Approximately 75% is spent bending, squatting, standing, or moving about the work area Frequently lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs Must have ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel Must have ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch Must have ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time Must show proficiency in the set-up and operation of all necessary equipment Speaking/Hearing: Ability to speak read and write English fluently Clear diction, correct grammar and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with clients, vendors, management, and other employees Vision: Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use computer screens, read reports and responding to correspondence and emails Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
