Description Safely change molds on production machines by following instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor or Shift Leader. Help train coworkers on how to complete mold changes. Help inspect and perform basic repairs on molding machines while working with the Lead Maintenance Technician. Record repairs that are completed and note any problems that still need to be fixed using the company’s maintenance tracking system. Assist with regular scheduled maintenance on molding machines to help keep them running properly. Complete the required maintenance forms and log the work in the maintenance system. Help with general maintenance around the plant, including equipment, tools, and facility needs, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Technician. Complete assigned maintenance work orders and record the time spent, parts used, and repairs made in the maintenance system. Take part in projects that help improve production and equipment performance in the plant. Report equipment or building system problems to the Maintenance Supervisor. Keep the Shift Leader and the next maintenance team informed of any ongoing issues and record them in the daily shift report. Be ready to respond quickly when equipment issues occur, which may sometimes require extended hours or emergency call-ins to prevent production downtime. Keep your work area clean and organized. Requirements High school diploma or GED Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic devices Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of machine shop practices and strong math skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings Computer Skills; MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel. Maintenance Management Software Ability to work shifts Technical school education preferred Previous maintenance background preferred
