Job Summary We’re hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our custom fabrication shop, servicing diverse, high-demand industries like recycling, paper mills, and energy plants. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience $28 - #35 / /hr Competitive salary based on experience [Insert $X – $Y / hr base pay] Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on heavy shop equipment, including plasma machines, 900-ton and 400-ton brake presses, plate rolls, forklifts, and CNC machinery. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to rapidly restore production. Proactive Inspections: Conduct regular diagnostics and safety checks to identify and resolve potential issues before equipment failure. Maintenance Operations: Maintain accurate records, manage work orders, log maintenance tasks, and control spare parts inventory. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the production team to seamlessly schedule maintenance tasks without disrupting daily operations. Equipment Commissioning: Assist in the setup, installation, and testing of new machinery and facility equipment. Continuous Improvement: Participate in strategic initiatives to optimize equipment performance, improve efficiency, and reduce overall maintenance costs. Qualifications Required Experience: 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. Systems Knowledge: Strong expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Tooling: Proficiency in safely utilizing hand and power tools. Problem Solving: High attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot complex breakdowns independently or as a team. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and take on-call shifts to respond to equipment emergencies as needed. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Technical or trade school certification. Hands-on experience repairing CNC machinery, plasma cutters, and heavy fabrication equipment.
