Description I. BASIC FUNCTION: General facility maintenance and upkeep of all FCHC Clinical, Business and Administrative sites. INTRADEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS: Department Director: Chief Operations Officer Reports to: Operations Director Supervises: None Works Closely With: Maintenance Staff, Team Leaders, Site Operations Supervisor JOB DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT: HEALTH OPERATIONS JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Page 2. III. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides general oversight and monitoring of janitorial, pest control and climate control contractors; recommends changes to Chief Operations Officer or Operations Director. 2. Provides general in-house painting and/or supervision of contracted painters. 3. Provides general in-house carpentry, clinical and office furniture moving, basic electric and plumbing needs; recommends need for outside contractors for aforementioned services. 4. Arranges conference rooms and waiting areas for scheduled meetings. 5. Provides day-to-day facility maintenance; assesses and makes recommendations to the maintenance and repair of major systems such as roof, blacktop maintenance, HVAC, etc. needs to the Team Leaders. 6. Oversees parking lot maintenance with general weed control and gardening, recommending additional maintenance needs to the Team Leaders. 7. Transports office equipment between sites. 8. Orders and inventories basic day-to-day maintenance and janitorial supplies and equipment. 9. Contributing member of Health and Safety Committee. 10. Completes Health & Safety Checklist at all sites. 11. Responds to report of security monitoring system after hours alarm notifications and contacts Operations Director or Administrator on Call for guidance regarding response. 12. Maintains storage rooms. 13. Operates and oversees maintenance of FCHC Maintenance Vehicle; insures tags and licenses are current. 14. Maintains fire safety equipment including annual and monthly checks for working condition of equipment and adequate access to equipment. 15. Ensures compliance and documentation of required fire safety inspections are up to date. 16. Ensures compliance and documentation of required elevator safety inspections are up to date. 17. Transports daily interoffice and U.S.P.S. mail to all sites. 18. Transports cash to the bank to make change for each site as needed. 19. Consolidates and readies for pick-up, bio-hazardous waste for all FCHC sites. 20. Removes ice and snow, spreads salt and ice melt on parking lots, sidewalks and entry ways in inclement weather when necessary. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Page 3. 21. Installation of cable for computers. 22. Operational oversite for site expansion or new site construction as directed by supervisor. IV. PERIODIC DUTIES: 1. Contributes services to the annual Health Fairs and other Center activities. 2. Performs other duties as assigned. V. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Inside Center: All inclusive. Outside Center: Supply houses, hardware stores, systems representatives (HVAC, pest, janitorial, etc.) and regulatory agencies. VI. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. 2. Previous maintenance experience preferred. VII. CONFIDENTIALITY: Respect for and maintenance of client and staff confidentiality is required.
