Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Tech 1 to join the team. This role is Full-time working Evening shifts from 2pm-10:30pm. Schedules made a month in advance. Maintenance Tech 1 Job Responsibilities: * Responds to requests for Safety and Security to assist in the evacuation of passengers trapped in an elevator within five minutes of notification in accordance with procedures established by department policy. * Inspects critical engineering machine rooms and work spaces in accordance with established procedures to ensure that critical systems are operating within proper limits. * Responds to requests for engineering services from customers by overhead page or pager within three minutes after being alerted. * Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks when not engaged in responding to work requests. * Responds to locations designated by the fire alarm system with tools within five minutes of the fire alarm announcement. * Re-lamps assigned areas of the hospital when not performing engineering service requests. * Evaluates the urgency of any work request requiring a call-in. Minimum Requirements: * Education: High school diploma or equivalent or graduate of a recognized program of instruction on building maintenance. * Experience: 1 year of experience as a maintenance worker in a commercial setting required We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
