Description Pay Range: $22 - $29/hr Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, Sick Time, and PTO after 90 days! Summary: Performs preventative maintenance and repair on a wide variety of plant facilities, fixtures, machinery, and equipment using machine and hand tools, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, and layout Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine type and dimensions of materials required Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on surfaces using such measuring and marking devices as calibrated ruler, micrometer, caliper, and scribe Dismantles machines or equipment, using hand tool or power tools to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part Replaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kind of material, using hand tools, such as scraper, press brake, file, offhand grinder and drill Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction Performs scheduled inspection, maintenance, and lubrication of machinery and equipment Fabricates weldments from sketches and blueprints, using arc or gas welding equipment Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical components such as wiring, switches, or relays Diagnoses problems in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and make repairs Diagnoses and repairs or replaces piping, plumbing, painting, lighting, and simple HVAC Performs environmental sampling and record keeping Troubleshoots and corrects robotic programs and automation Troubleshoots and corrects to PLC controlled automation Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
