Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and systems used in composite manufacturing. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. Requirements Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs on manufacturing machinery and facility systems. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a wide variety of production and support equipment. Fabricate and weld replacement parts, brackets, and fixtures as needed to support equipment repairs and modifications. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders. Install, adjust, and calibrate new and existing production equipment. Maintain detailed maintenance records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Collaborate with operators and engineers to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently. Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE protocols. Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools. Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements for equipment performance. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals. Keep work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred. Knowledge & Experience 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and diagnostic equipment. Skills & Abilities Excellent problem-solving and technical skills. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Frequently required to reach and use hands and arms continuously. Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
