Job Description Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Scheduled days of the week vary and candidates must be available to work weekends to be considered. Pay: 23-27/hr As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems, and facility for a 24/7 manufacturing operation in Milwaukee, WI. RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Support: Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor and provide training as needed. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network and computer hardware/software issues in assigned area. Make timely and accurate repairs. Preventative Maintenance: Inspect machines, complete work orders and perform assigned preventative maintenance activities. Administrative & Housekeeping: Perform inventory control of parts and equipment and record using the proper computer application. Keep work area and equipment clean. Provide training to new technicians Qualifications EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED (Required) Mechanical and/or Electronic courses (Preferred) Associate degree (Preferred) EXPERIENCE 1-3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience (Required) Electro-mechanical experience (Required) CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES Powered Industrial Truck Certification KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to organize work, people, and materials. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports. Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures. Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred. Ability to work a schedule with call-in and overtime duties. Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions. Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints. Intermediate math skills. Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements. Plans and organizes daily work flow. Must demonstrate good time management skills. Proficient in performing production equipment preventive maintenance. Service-oriented personality. Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills. Equipment/Software Utilized: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet software. Ideal candidate will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software and Order Processing Systems. COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and frequently communicates to plant personnel and leadership. Communicates with outside vendors and various suppliers, service and maintenance providers. Additional Information The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $23.00 - $27.00 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
