They will be part of the maintenance staff, maintaining records, keeping Woodward's renowned facilities operating at a high level. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks across the property ensuring the campus remains clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests. These vital tasks may include landscaping, cleaning, removing trash, and performing maintenance on a wide array of features at our facilities. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate power driven street equipment Operate heavy equipment (Skid Steer, Lawn Tractors) Operate vehicles including pick-up trucks and Kubota Side by Side and trailer Clean and maintain tools and mechanical equipment Load, unload, and transport parts, materials and equipment Pick up litter, trash and leaves Respond to emergency calls Perform painting duties, sand, caulk, prime and paint Perform groundskeeping tasks such as weed eating, mowing grass, and landscaping Operate a pressure washer Perform snow removal Perform an array of plumbing, electrical and carpentry work Repair vandalism Operate spray units Put up and remove seasonal awnings Install and repair or replace light fixtures, ballasts, switches, and outlets Operate small hand and power tools Operate a variety of air tools Assume custodian's duties Assist with guest requests and needs in a timely manner Conduct routine maintenance and safety facility inspections Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES +/- 10 Employees KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability Strong attention to detail Comfortable handling confidential information Successful working in an independent and team environment QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications 1+ of years' experience in general maintenance techniques OSHA certified on applicable equipment Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces Well versed in electric, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and fleet maintenance Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team 5+ of years' experience in general maintenance techniques OSHA certified on applicable equipment Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces Well versed in electric, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and fleet maintenance Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of management techniques Provide work related references upon request. Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting Preferred Qualifications: Driver's license preferred PRE-REQUISITES Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work: Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed. Mandated Reporter Training Certificate Safesport Training Certificate PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment. Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
