An automotive parts manufacturer by the Pendleton, IN area is currently searching for a 2nd-shift Maintenance Technician to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have strong electromechanical aptitude, and be able to successfully troubleshoot industrial machinery and wiring from blueprints and schematics. Candidates should be familiar with industrial automation, robotics, and five- and six-axis CNC machinery.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with an excellent benefits package and a pay range beginning at $29.00 an hour, with additional flexibility depending on experience level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education or trade certification in industrial maintenance
• Experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, including robotics and automation systems
• Previous shop fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

• Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on equipment and machinery (hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, foundry equipment, robotics, etc.)
• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting, including familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearing and ball-screw replacement, and turret alignment
• Electrical and controls (PLC) troubleshooting experience (controls wiring, VFDs, motor replacement)
• Repair and maintain facility HVAC and water-cooling systems
• Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairs
• Follow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activities
• Tracking of tool and material inventory
• Creation of maintenance activity reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned
