Description Position: Maintenance Technician Division: Recycling Status: Full Time/Hourly Position POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A Essential Responsibilities: Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant. Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment. Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes. Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime Completing work orders & PM paperwork Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Forklift experience is preferred but not required. Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities COMPETENCIES: Follow all safety rules, regulations and policies of the company. Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs. Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
