Description
Position Purpose: Maximize productive time of equipment.  Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems.  Conduct PMs on a routine basis, making suggestions for improvement. Troubleshoot equipment problems from a mechanical, electrical, and program basis, finding and resolving the root cause problems.  Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.   Essential Functions: * Follow safe work practice and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives * Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform task as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer’s recommendations. * Comply with all safety standards and regulations. * Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner. * Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on equipment, building, grounds issues and implement correct remedy to minimize downtime * Utilizes designated tools and software to manage daily task and complete assigned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance * Support engineering and other department project as needed to accomplish the objective of the plant Education and Training: * Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or other related technical degree program is preferred * Typical experience 0-3 years.  Entry level-- basic mechanical aptitude, little or no experience. Minimum Qualifications: * Previous maintenance experience preferred * Experience with PLC’s (Allen Bradley) * Familiar with single and three phase electrical system * Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems. * Should be familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations. * Machining and welding capabilities preferred (Certified Welder is a plus) * Robotic knowledge is a plus (Fanuc preferred) * Computer literature, i.e., Microsoft-Office applications * Ability to work different shifts and holidays as required to support production and other engineering/maintenance projects * Position requires to work over-time as needed  Physical Demands: * Constant standing, walking, reaching and balancing * Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing * Minimal sitting and crawling * Lift up to 50 lbs. * Carry up to 50 lbs. approximately 5 feet * Push/Pull 20-40 lbs. of force 40 feet Environmental Conditions: * Work Environment: Manufacturing. * Lighting: Adequate. * Temperature: Non-Temperature Controlled. Humidity, Heat, Cold are factors during the year.
