Description
Summary: Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, building structures and grounds. Support UC philosophy focused on facilitating the growth of the organization, continually improving quality, and driving to a world class safety and environmental culture. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform maintenance on machines and equipment on a regular basis to prevent breakdown. Capable of completing PM’s without supervision. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunction. Diagnose and dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repair parts. Minor welding and fabrication. Replace fuses, heaters, thermocouples, motors etc. Follow UCC Quality System approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed. Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and housekeeping. Follow UCC Quality System-approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed. Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures. Complete monthly Safety Observations and attend UC Connect Meetings. Preferred Experience, Training, and Skills: Industrial Maintenance Certification or three years or more maintenance experience. Training and experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, machining, plumbing, fabrication/welding and cutting. Experience with 480 and 240 volt AC 3 phase. Basic industrial math understanding. Mechanical repair aptitude. Capable of changing seals, bearings, and extruder screws. Basic Electrical troubleshooting and repair. HMI and PLC troubleshooting, programming, or repair experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.
