This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues while adhering to established safety standards and maintenance procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues * Respond to maintenance work orders, equipment downtime, and emergency repair needs * Perform equipment adjustments, component replacements, and general repairs * Troubleshoot equipment issues to restore safe and reliable operation * Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols * Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation * Coordinate with operators and supervisors to minimize production disruptions * Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, and recurring failures * Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition * Perform additional duties as assigned ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS * Working knowledge of mechanical systems; electrical knowledge preferred * Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment * Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment * Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, schematics, and work instructions * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work independently while following safety and quality standards * Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and work order systems ---------------------------------------- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or equivalent required * Prior industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred * Technical training, certification, apprenticeship, or related coursework is a plus ---------------------------------------- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally * Ability to push and/or pull up to 10 pounds * Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces * Frequent kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping * Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, oils, and coolant fluids ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER * Comprehensive training and development opportunities * 100% company-paid medical and dental coverage * Company-paid life and disability insurance * 401(k) with up to 4% company match * Generous paid time off and paid holidays * Team-oriented, collaborative work environment * Company events and employee engagement activities ---------------------------------------- WHY JOIN 5TH AXIS?
