Description Position Summary The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on shredders, grinders, wash lines, extrusion lines, and other production machinery. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment according to schedules. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production machinery. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and assist with minor programming adjustments. Maintain and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and other components. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation (via CMMS). Maintain shop cleanliness. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures. Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve recurring issues. Order and manage spare parts inventory as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Familiarity with PLCs is a plus. Basic troubleshooting. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial conditions. Skills & Competencies Problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and documentation skills. Work Environment Industrial setting with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery. Requires use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
