  • 5 years minimum related maintenance mechanic experience
  • 4 years of apprenticeship in maintenance trade or equivalent.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Works from prints, sketches, models, machine tool manufacturers’ instructions and diagrams, and verbal instructions to diagnose equipment and repair a wide variety of machinery located in Company.
  • Maintenance on forklift trucks, lifting equipment, cranes, A/C pulleys, belts, motor direct or indirect drives, bearings, shafts, overhead doors drive mechanisms (only), turbine type blowers, compressors, vacuum pumps, air actuators, valves that control motion of and hydraulic fluid and other assigned equipment.
  • Makes jigs, fixtures, and any special tools necessary for completion of maintenance work.
  • Moves heavy machine parts as necessary to disassemble and assemble machine tools.
  • Requires considerable skill and detailed knowledge of maintenance trade to tear down and reassemble complex mechanisms, diagnose, and remedy trouble quickly on regular or emergency repairs.
  • Performs required maintenance of oiling and lubrication of machines.
  • Performs general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains records, moves materials, and follows safety rules in performance of duties.
  • Machines, Tools, and Equipment used, includes but not limited to: Machine tools such as drill presses, shapers, radial drills, boring mills, grinders, flaring tools and tube benders, hand tools such as hydraulic gauges, speed indicators, strobe lights, wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, punches, electric drills, gear pullers, micrometers, scales, verniers, levels, straight edges, and other hand tools common to maintenance trade.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
    This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement. Wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement. Individuals hired into this position will be represented by a union.
    Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
