Job Description Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking a practical and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team on a Part-Time basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in a similar position who can confidently turn their hand to a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will support the day-to-day operation of the hotel by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces remain safe, functional, and well-presented. In this role, you will: Assist with the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel Complete daily plant rounds and identify any equipment that appears faulty or requires repair Carry out maintenance on equipment and water reticulation systems to ensure reliability and operational efficiency Ensure all tools and equipment are used, maintained, and stored correctly Liaise with relevant departments regarding works in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring out-of-order spaces are returned to service promptly Accurately record all maintenance tasks (completed and outstanding), including repairs and preventative maintenance schedules Qualifications Successful candidates will: Previous experience in a similar role/hotel environment and a qualification in trade is preferred Be self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised Be able to prioritise tasks and follow specified procedures Have the ability to work a variety of shifts across the week Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools Additional Information Benefits: Be a part of a global hospitality company and explore Accor’s limitless possibilities On-the-job training and mentorship Accessing pathways for career advancement and personal development within Accor Enjoy exclusive Accor discounts and global benefits Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
