We trade as A by Adina, Adina Hotels, Vibe Hotels, Quincy, Travelodge Hotels, Rendezvous and Collection by TFE Hotels. We are currently recruiting for Maintenance Technicians to work in Otago due to business demands. Purpose As our Maintenance Technician, you know what needs to be done and the high standard that work needs to be completed to. There’s nothing you can’t fix or don’t know how to fix with the right support, whether it’s: plumbing, carpentry, painting, gardening and other trades. Primary Responsibilities Every day will be different; however your core responsibilities will be to: Help with a range of maintenance activities including plumbing, carpentry work and technical support for hotel property maintenance tasks. Co-ordinate with contractors and our engineering team for more complex maintenance tasks. Manage and supervise handymen when needed. Skills, Experience and requirements You will have: at least three years of relevant work experience in a comparable role; or a combination of a qualification and at least 2 year of relevant work experience in a comparable role Shift work will be required and may include early and late shifts. Flexibility is a must. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required. You can physically meet the demands for this role including constant standing & walking, frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 20 kgs Good computer literacy as we work across many SAAS applications. Calm under pressure and the ability to rationally problem solve. Ideally you will also have (these are preferences and not mandatory requirements): You possess Occupational Health & Safety qualifications/skills. Testing & tagging licence not essential but advantageous. Exceptional communication skills - Multilingual would be viewed as an advantage, with spoken and written English at a proficient level. Immaculately presented – you have exceptional grooming and always wear the appropriate uniform and name badge, with pride! You make sure your team always look the part too.
