Job Details Job Location: NEW BERLIN, WI 53151 Position Type: Full Time Position: Maintenance Technician Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt Salary: Salaries at Advanced Ionics are paid biweekly Reports to: O&M Manager Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Advanced Ionics office hours are 6:30am - 6:30pm. Your work schedule will generally be within normal business hours. You will have a minimum 40 hour per week schedule. You will be expected to be working during our core hours. Our core hours are from 9am-4pm. Occasionally, there will be requests to work outside of normal business hours based on business needs, deadlines or audit periods. In those instances, a notice will be sent as early in advance as possible. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required Position Summary: As a maintenance technician, you are responsible for ensuring that laboratory and testing equipment is functioning as expected. Additionally, you will assist in assembling custom test stations. For laboratory maintenance, you will perform tasks such as maintaining vacuum pumps, chillers, furnaces, presses, etc. For test station assembly, you will install steam and gas tubing, and electrical devices for flow control, data collection, and thermal management. Essential Functions of the Position: Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and/or correct source of problem, perform required routine preventative maintenance, and notify O&M supervisor and requestor of any abnormalities or maintenance requirements. Following CAD drawings, you will assemble frames, route tubing and electrical wiring. Wire and debug control cabinets following electrical schematics. Coordinate & follow through with maintenance activities to ensure resolution. Conduct routine inspections and testing of system components to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and recommend improvements. Support equipment maintenance & PM schedule creation & use in Smartsheet. Maintain documentation in accordance with equipment maintenance policy. Resource for LOTO. Assist with station build, troubleshooting & commissioning new equipment. Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique. Follow safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment in accordance with industry regulations. Work to continuously improve processes and equipment capabilities. Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in renewable energy, hydrogen production, chemical processing, or a related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to high-pressure gases, electrical systems, and hazardous materials. Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential on-call duties and emergency repairs. Experience troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems, including pumps, heat-exchangers, furnaces & regulators, among others. Experience fabricating and assembling complex parts, jigs and test system components. A proven ability to suggest alternative, cost-effective solutions. Experience in scientific equipment/component manufacturing (preferred) Results-oriented and can work independently. Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
