Our rapidly growing company in Mississauga is on the lookout for a passionate and talented Maintenance Technician (Afternoon Shift).
The successful candidate will be a hands-on and capable individual who is willing to expand their general knowledge and duties within all areas of general building maintenance while focusing on electrical problems and tasks.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1-2 year of experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment.
  • Electrical Engineering Technician Diploma with Industrial Experience
  • Experience in maintaining accurate and complete maintenance record documentation.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or technical role is desirable.
  • Knowledge with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hand tools.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A passion for the maintenance field, with a willingness to develop skills across various areas.

Responsibilities
  • Will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing mechanical and electrical problems, setting up of equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Perform major and minor adjustments to equipment in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any potential issues.
  • Maintain the overall functionality of the plant warehouse, including repairs to structures and fixtures, plumbing, lightings.
  • Follow instructions from senior technicians and maintenance manager and actively seek learning opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment documentation.
  • Perform all maintenance on plant equipment in a safe manner, ensure equipment and machines are clean and in good working order, follow GMP.
