Description Village at Belmar, Lakewood’s premier senior living community, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is part of a dynamic building operations and environmental services team and plays a critical role in helping take care of our beautiful community and ensuring the day-to-day operations are running smoothly. All while enriching the lives of the residents living in our community. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. Benefits: 3 weeks of paid time off a year Medical insurance including vision and dental 100% employer paid life and long-term disability insurance Accident and short-term disability insurance 401(k) with employer match Sunny Day emergency savings account with employer match Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds Conducts regular inspections of the life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems Oversees necessary repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas including refurbishment for move-ins Ensures the outside of the property is maintained, including landscaping, snow removal, and garbage/trash removal Maintains inventory control for general supplies, parts, and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance Responds appropriately to resident or community maintenance emergencies by assisting as needed Qualifications: Basic knowledge of hand tools Previous maintenance experience preferred Must have patience, tact, and a willingness to assist residents, family and staff Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed Pay: $20.00-$21.00 an hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds, ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly. This includes conducting inspections, overseeing repairs, and maintaining the property.
