Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various maintenance issues, including press operation, machinery repair, and wiring electrical components. The role requires working independently to maintain company equipment and ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the technician will handle facility maintenance tasks and work closely with the Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid understanding of PLC programming.
  • Experience in PLC and robotic systems programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical/electrician training or apprenticeship.
  • Selfmotivated, organized, responsible, and able to work with minimal direction.
  • Ability to apply good judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Availability in emergency situations.
  • Positive, collaborative, and openminded attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and supervisors.
  • 25 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
  1. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure they are in good working condition.
  2. Repairs: Fix issues with equipment, such as broken or malfunctioning machinery, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  3. Preventive Measures: Implement preventive maintenance procedures to avoid potential breakdowns and ensure the longevity of equipment.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including dates and descriptions of the work.
  6. Structural Repairs: Inspect and repair any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls within the facility.
  7. Inventory Management: Manage and order supplies and parts needed for maintenance and repairs.
  8. Monitor and Maintain Machinery: Continuously monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  9. Facility Maintenance: Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing repairs, to ensure the facility is in good working order.
  10. Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager to coordinate maintenance activities and address any facility-related issues promptly.
