Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.   Work hours: 7am-3:30pm, 5 days per week. Some Saturdays and Sundays. Flexibility is required. On-call coverage is rotated. Candidate must have painting and general maintenance experience.   Daily responsibilities:   * Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.  * Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.  * Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.  * Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.  * Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.).  * Other duties as assigned. * $18 an hour. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED Required.  * 3 -- 5 years of light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, paint & plaster experience. * Strong customer service skills. * Excellent communication skills, spoken and written. * Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level. * Time management and time critical prioritization skills. * Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player. * May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.).             #LI-PK1
