Description PLK Communities is an owner and manager of residential apartment communities. Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities and Duties The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff: Perform any and all property maintenance needs Prepare apartments for new residents Completes work orders Basic Carpentry Plumbing Electrical Systems Mechanical Systems Small Appliance Repair Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas HVAC service and repair (willing to train) Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash Benefit Summary Medical Dental Vision Company paid Life and Short Term Disability Voluntary Life Long Term Disability Flex Spending Account Health Savings Account 401(k) with 4% employer match Paid vacation and holidays Paid company events Paid community volunteering Referral bonus Rent discount potential Quarterly bonus opportunity Annual bonus opportunity Requirements Maintenance or "handyman" experience Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Tools (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multi meter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight) Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation
