Salary: To be determined
Housing: Staff housing available – $52.50 every two weeks
Meals: Provided during your shifts
Transportation: Included from Montreal or Quebec City
Vacation: 2 weeks every 3 months

At the Kuujjuaq Inn, we’re more than just a workplace — we’re a tight-knit team that supports one another. We’re looking for someone reliable and versatile to help with both maintenance and logistics operations, including upkeep of our staff housing and handling incoming cargo.

Responsibilities

MAINTENANCE TASKS:

  • Perform minor repairs and regular upkeep in guest rooms, common areas, and staff housing units
  • Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, plumbing, and appliances
  • Keep exterior areas safe and tidy: snow removal in winter, small landscaping in summer
  • Perform seasonal maintenance and occasional renovation or improvement projects
  • Conduct regular inspections of staff housing and report any major issues
  • All other related tasks requested

CARGO TASKS:

  • Pick up cargo at the airport or cargo center and deliver it to the inn or staff housing
  • Assist with unloading shipments (food, supplies, equipment, etc.)
  • Ensure safe handling and proper storage of materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized storage area
  • Support inventory tracking and communicate needs for restocking

What you’ll need:

  • Hands-on skills in basic maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate cargo vehicles (pickup truck or similar)
  • Good physical condition for lifting and moving heavy items
  • Independence, reliability, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to live and work in a northern remote community
