Description Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Shared Operations Reports to: Construction Maintenace Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Status: Full time General Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and complete general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry). Handle preventative maintenance for building systems and fixtures. Support facility projects, event setups, and small construction tasks. Ensure work complies with safety standards and building codes. Collaborate with outside contractors when specialized work is required. Other duties as assigned by the Construction Maintenance Manager. We are seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance, repair, and improvement needs. The ideal candidate has a broad skillset across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair. This role ensures our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and complete general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry). Handle preventative maintenance for building systems and fixtures. Support facility projects, event setups, and small construction tasks. Ensure work complies with safety standards and building codes. Collaborate with outside contractors when specialized work is required. Other duties as assigned by the Construction Maintenance Manager. MISSION CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support and uphold the Bayside Core Values, Staff Culture & Values, Vision Statement and Points of Accountability. Maintain open and frequent communication with your supervisor, other staff, and team members. Attend department and all-staff/all-campus meetings. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or in a similar role. Working knowledge of multiple trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and heavy lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. TIME COMMITMENT 40 hours per week; may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
