Description

Help us make a difference as Maintenance Technician at our site in Bridgwater (Somerset).
The weekly hours are Monday to Friday (37.5 per week).
£39,702 per annum.

OUR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS.

  • NVQ 3/ONC in a mechanical or Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing, energy production, or similar industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Strong understanding of AD plant operations and associated equipment is advantageous

Responsibilities

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROLE.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be integral to maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the performance of our AD plant. Your role will encompass the upkeep of machinery, systems, and processes critical to the efficient and continuous operation of the plant, contributing significantly to our renewable energy production.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on AD plant machinery, including pumps, conveyors, valves, digesters, and associated control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues promptly to minimise downtime and optimise operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to the production process
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety across the plant
  • Carry out upgrades or modifications to equipment and systems where necessary to optimise performance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, work orders, and spare parts inventory
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
