JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing facility in Milton, Ontario. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure smooth plant operations. REQUIRED (BASIC) QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to lift parts up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position. No moving (relocation) is offered for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred 309A or 442A License required.
  • Experience driving a forklift.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and production machinery
  • Knowledge and use of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Knowledge in use, operation and maintenance of air compressor systems, air dryers, miscellaneous pumps.
  • Mechanical aptitude for maintaining/repairing powered industrial trucks as well as scissor lift equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial and building equipment, focusing on electrical and electronic systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using standardized methods and CSA codes.
  • Design, build, assemble, modify, and install electrical controls and systems, including preventative maintenance duties according to TPM schedules.
  • Maintain service equipment, work areas, tool crib, and spare parts inventory, ensuring tools and parts are available when needed.
  • Support the quality department by performing functional tests and final mechanical inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment.
  • Coordinate contractors’ work permits and train them on Eaton safety requirements and assist with machinery movement and shop floor layout activities as required.
