Description
The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking Maintenance Technician (2nd & 3rd shift) to support our Lakeland, FL facility. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools, as well as fitting, and assembling parts to fabricate or repair machine tools. Additionally, you will maintain industrial machines and install /repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Perform Routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery, tools, and building systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control systems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records through the use of a CMMS. Support equipment upgrades, installation, and calibration. Ensure compliance with plant safety requirements and company policies. Collaborate with production to minimize downtime and identify equipment performance issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Fabricate or weld machine parts when required for repairs or modifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Ability to read and interpret instructions in written or verbal form including operating and maintenance instructions, written policies and procedures, and procedure manuals. Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions. Assist in continuous improvement projects to increase equipment efficiency and reliability. Ability to use and understand precision measuring equipment. Knowledge of AC and DC Circuits. Ability to troubleshoot issues with motors, drives, control circuits, switches, relays, fuses, and breakers. Ability to perform schematics to incorporate changes of equipment functions as needed. Complete all work orders neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines. Willingly to work all necessary hours and shifts for customer demands. Follows all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately. Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations. Ability to demonstrate basic computer knowledge. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Additional duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trades preferred. Preferred 1-3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Experience in a maintenance role within an industrial environment, corrugated industry is advantageous. Industrial Maintenance/Electrician Certifications/Programs/Training. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability for 2nd and 3rd shift work and over-time as required. Ability to read simple prints (wiring diagrams). Ability to perform basic A/C motor troubleshooting. Ability to perform basic electrical installations. Ability to troubleshoot basic control circuits. Ability to demonstrate basic technique (splicing, box installation, etc.) Ability to read and interpret instructions in written or verbal form including form including operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, written policies and procedures, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence effectively and accurately. Ability to communicate effectively with Machine Operators of the company. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Requires strong mathematical skills using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be able to read a tape measure with accuracy.
