Discover the life that awaits you at Accor, visit https://careers.accor.com/ Do what you love, care for the world, dare to challenge the status quo! #BELIMITLESS" Job Description Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials and dimensions required Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create structures, furniture, and fixtures Install wooden elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and custom-built furniture Repair and restore existing wooden structures and fixtures Operate and maintain a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects efficiently Adapt carpentry techniques to suit the tropical climate of Phu Quoc Maintain a clean and organised work area Qualifications Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry Minimum 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field Proficiency in various carpentry techniques and tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately In-depth knowledge of different wood types and their properties Excellent skills in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in carpentry Physical stamina and ability to work in a tropical climate Expertise in furniture making, cabinetry, or construction carpentry Valid safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, First Aid) preferred Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Vietnamese is an advantage Additional Information Your team and working environment: In 1-2 sentences, introduce the team, property or office environment in a way that reflects the culture Note: Customization may be included for any specific local or legislative requirements, such as work permits Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
