  • Proven mechanical aptitude or general maintenance experience
  • Problem solver
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to diagnose and fix common facility issues
  • Electrical, welding, fabrication, or light machining experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and compressed air systems is a plus
  • Must be reliable, self-directed, and safety-conscious

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Stirling Marathon is seeking a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Technician to support ongoing repair and improvement projects in our refrigeration factory. This is a casual/contract position, ideal for a semi-retired tradesperson, skilled handyperson, or someone simply looking to stay busy with meaningful work in a supportive, industrial environment. You’ll be working on a variety of mechanical, structural, and utility-related tasks that keep our operations running smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building assembly jigs
  • Build mobile racks and carts
  • Set up surface grinder to sharpen tooling punches
  • Adjusting conveyor belts
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair assembly stations, strapping machine, roll up door, docks, air compressor
  • Reinstall air-line
  • Rebuild or repair skids holding tooling
  • Install air hose/nozzle and air lines where needed
  • Replace weather stripping
  • Plus other odd tasks
