To maintain upkeep and optimize a production facility, to gather and apply production data for line optimization, to propose and carry out small projects once approved for process optimisation. To take full ownership for the equipment needs of the facility both to meet current demands and future advancement. Ensure the production schedule is maintained in relation to equipment requirements, keeping the management team updated on a regular basis of circumstances which alter agreed timelines. Take necessary actions to promote schedule adherence whenever possible. Participate in PMP plan and schedule maintenance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

These describe the deliverables and reports that need to be produced on a scheduled basis that form part of the management overview of the business
1. Progress of services delivery, identification of project/ improvement issues
- Identify training requirements
- Update on projects progress and schedule
- Project risks/ issues
2. Review of customer complaints related to production processes with quality department
3. Production feedback on current process and potential improvements

· Conceptualise process improvement and present ideas to management
· Execution of development roadmaps
· Fabrication of new equipment and furniture
· Highlight equipment issues as soon as they are identified to ensure quick recovery
· Identify and mange production gaps in terms of equipment and process optimization
· Develop and maintain good lines of communication to ensure that the administrative and other processes, necessary to support and progress production development operate smoothly
· Create and present innovative solutions to management team
· Participate in the development and implementation of PMP plan and scheduled maintenance
· Ensure spare parts are on-site and the spare part log is kept updated and stock replenished as required
· SOP development for engineering/ maintenance
